The right of return is not bargained or bargained over
It is customary if you are a vulnerable refugee that you choose.. they put in one hand what guarantees your continuity of life, and in the other hand your dignity.. and you have the right to choose only one hand, then you are not given anything from the two hands.
By resolution 217 A, the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of Human Rights as a common standard for all peoples and nations. In the introduction, it acknowledged that the Declaration identifies, for the first time, basic human rights that must be universally protected.
The Declaration of Human Rights recognized in the second paragraph of Article 13 that: “Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.” This is for those who left! How about those who emigrated?
In fact, so as not to exaggerate, the issue is older than the Deal of the Century or the “peace plan” announced by former US President Donald Trump in Washington in 2020. The issue is older in Lebanon, to say the least, due to the age of sectarianism, political calculations and relative distribution. It is unjustifiably linked to the right to resettlement.
According to the second paragraph of Article 1 of Law No. 296: “It is not permissible to own any real right of any kind for any person who does not hold a nationality issued by a recognized state, or for any person if the ownership conflicts with the provisions of the constitution in terms of refusing to resettle.”
Any law that legislates or is in the process of legislation must go through a stage of purification from the Palestinian right to enjoy its humanity, even ministerial decisions mobilize this and that from minorities or those who aspire to benefit from the Palestinian’s defeat.
But what is this eagerness for the owner of the land to return to his land that pushes Arab authorities who are hostile to the occupation, reject it verbally and quarrel with it in resolute mass sermons, to deprive the Palestinian of his rights that meet basic needs that satisfy his hunger and quench their thirst and facilitate his movement, education, work and safety only, and the matter becomes as if it is either this or that? !
It is a moral crime and legal terrorism perpetrated by the authorities, especially the Lebanese, and appointed by the UNRWA in its silence on this arbitrary deprivation, and the exchange of food and its means for another right fixed in the Declaration of Human Rights and international covenants, which is the right of return.
This is an abhorrent exploitation of the Palestinian's need as a human being with civil and political rights, who are working to distract him from his demand and original goal of returning to his homeland Palestine, by distracting him with the reality in which he lives.
There is a clear violation of the Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations Assembly, which states in Article 30: “No provision in this Declaration may be construed as authorizing any State, group, or individual, to engage in any activity or act aimed at Destroy any of the rights and freedoms stipulated therein.
