Read moreIn the context of the coordination process with the Palestinian political parties, the Seeds of Independence visited the official of the Democratic Front in Lebanon, in the city of Sidon on Thursday, 24-8-2024. Mr. Youssef Ahmed, who was recently installed, praised the audacity of the Democratic Front in that it presented a young man in the leadership. The meeting focused on the role of youth and the need to strengthen them in the Palestinian parties, whether in terms of numbers or the tasks assigned to them. Comrade Youssef pointed out that only public pressure based on awareness and understanding of the requirements of the issue is capable of change, and that the educational part of society must be the youth’s first goal to initiate change and mobilize our people. Regarding the decline in the public’s role in supporting Gaza, Democracy believes that the division has formed an obstacle to a solid popular alignment, and that the Palestinian movement in Lebanon since October 7th has been less than expected. The most prominent reason for the widening of the divisive gap, similar to previous disagreements and divisions, is that it has penetrated and spread among the general public, so the solution begins with the public meeting on their issues, assigning them their societal roles, and public pressure would also push for the achievement of reconciliation agreements, the most important of which is the recent Beijing agreement.
