Violet Home project

Jineen is a student in the drop out section of the Violet Home Project She is a 17 years old teenager who left the school while she was in grade five due to her weak academic performance where there was no one who helped her in studying so she failed 3 times in grade five and left the school. In addition to that Jineen’s parents are so strict and she always thought of getting rid of the restrictions by getting married so that she will be able to leave the home and live freely. Jineen joined our project and got all the support she needed as we made a customized plan for her starting from improving her academic performance to changing her thoughts. Also, through the psychological and social sessions and other activities we implement in our project about protecting young girls from early marriage. All of these activities played a great role in affecting Jineen's thoughts about marrying. Jineen now became aware that such a decision should be taken in a conscious pattern as well as she is getting the highest marks in her class, her performance noticeably has improved. She is proud of herself and she is willing to give more. Lately, Jineen refused a groom in order to stay in our project and she said that she will be ready to think of marrying after she finishes her studying, and she added “The awareness sessions have changed my opinion about marrying, I see that studying is a priority for me now”.
