The WHO estimates that around 25% of the world's population is anemic, alarmingly this includes nearly 50% of preschool children, making it a significant public health concern. The most common cause of anemia worldwide is iron deficiency anemia, which can lead to serious developmental and health problems in young children if not treated promptly. Therefore the coordinator of the New Ray of Life project held a comprehensive awareness session specifically targeted pregnant women and mothers involved in the project. The session focused on the importance of understanding anemia in children, its symptoms and preventive measures that can be taken to ensure their children are healthy and nourished.
