Children's health is significantly impacted during the winter months, as they are more susceptible to common illnesses in this cold season. To address this, the coordinator of the New Beam of Life project organized an awareness session focused on respiratory diseases in children during winter.
The educational session provided essential information about various respiratory illnesses that commonly affect children during this time, including the common cold, influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, and sore throat.Mothers learned about the causes, symptoms, and prevention strategies for each disease.
The session emphasized the importance of vaccination, practicing proper hygiene, and maintaining a clean environment to minimize the risk of infections. Additionally, mothers were informed about how to recognize warning signs that necessitate medical attention, such as difficulty breathing, persistent fever, or dehydration. This knowledge is crucial for ensuring timely intervention and improving health outcomes for children.
This project is implemented with funds from Caritas Española.
