UNRWA, in partnership with local community institutions in Beddawi and El-Bared camps in North Lebanon, launched a “Joint Awareness Campaign on the Dangers of Drugs” under the title “Blaha, blah, blah”.
The opening included speeches about the importance of community awareness of drug control, and the importance of continuous solidarity between the family, the competent authorities of local community institutions, the popular committees and UNRWA, to protect young people from falling into the clutches of drugs, and to prevent their destructive effects.
The interventions emphasized the continuous cooperation with the participating parties in the awareness campaign, which will run from May 30 to June 27, 2022, and shed light on the severe consequences of drugs on youth, families, and society as a whole, being the most important human element, and keeping them away from this danger. The campaign, which was launched in Beddawi camp at the headquarters of the People's Committee and in Al-Bared camp in the Association of Women's Programs, local community institutions, popular committees, and a number of parents, students and UNRWA staff in the north attended.
